# Product updates October, 2026

<Update label="October 1, 2026" tags={["Document Intelligence","AI"]} rss={{ title:"Document Intelligence Pro" }}>
  # Document Intelligence Pro

  Document Intelligence gets a third model, **Pro**, for the documents that still resist Advanced. This is the model we announced in August for the hardest documents.

  Pro is built for dense handwriting and for fields that are blank or hard to read, where a weaker model is tempted to fill in a plausible value. It runs at **9 credits per page**, is processed in the EU, and is available on AI Extract upload fields and on Document Intelligence templates.

  As with Advanced, you opt into Pro per document type, so the higher rate only applies where you choose it. Learn more in the [docs](/guides/document-intelligence-models).

<Update label="October 1, 2026" tags={["Outlook","Connections"]} rss={{ title:"Outlook: context on every email, even without a case" }}>
  # Outlook: context on every email, even without a case

  Until now, an email with no case left the add-in mostly empty. It now shows **everything Penbox knows about the email**: its contacts, their cases, and their BRIO records, with BRIO records first and Penbox cases folded below. You can draft a reply before any case exists, and open a case in Penbox right next to the attach button.

  An email exchanged only between colleagues gets a single, simpler view, with your colleagues shown as greyed chips. On a case, data section badges count the filled rows, and the next step suggested is the same on every email of the case.

<Update label="October 1, 2026" tags={["Cases"]} rss={{ title:"Cases that find their owner" }}>
  # Cases that find their owner

  A case with no owner now gets one the first time a colleague **works on it**: edits its data, changes its status, adds a note, sends an email or a form, or creates a BRIO claim. Simply viewing a case doesn't count, and neither do automations, API calls, or the assistant. A case that already has an owner keeps it.

  The sidebar helps you spot what's new: a **blue dot** marks the case templates with cases you haven't seen yet, a **No template** line counts the cases without one, drafts no longer inflate the counts, and full template names are shown. Drag the sidebar edge to widen it.

<Update label="October 1, 2026" tags={["Workspace","Email"]} rss={{ title:"Credits for everyone, and signatures for shared addresses" }}>
  # Credits for everyone, and signatures for shared addresses

  * **Credits.** Every member of a workspace can now open the **Credits** page and follow its consumption. It replaces the former Usage tab. See [Credits](/workspace/credits).
  * **Signatures for workspace addresses.** Addresses on your authenticated domain and connected workspace mailboxes can now carry an email signature of their own, not only personal mailboxes.
  * **Mailbox labels.** A connected mailbox can stop adding the case label in Gmail or Outlook.
  * **Personal mailboxes** show which workspace they file their cases into.

<Update label="October 1, 2026" tags={["Cases","Connections","Signatures"]} rss={{ title:"Improvements and fixes" }}>
  # Improvements and fixes

  * **Inbox export** adds the owner's name, the parent case status, the language, and the case's key lifecycle dates.
  * **Tasks.** The review task closes when its request is marked as processed.
  * **BRIO.** The "Create a BRIO activity" automation can force the activity in when its assignee is not working that day. It is off by default.
  * **Signatures.** When only initials are placed, the signature page is still added at the end of the document.
  * **Email templates.** The visual editor warns you only when switching would actually lose content.
  * **Email.** Attachments that Microsoft Defender delivers late are kept.
  * **Template versions.** Moving open cases to a newer template version keeps their BRIO links.
  * **Outlook.** The agent conversation survives a restart of the add-in.
